Tiger - Fully Rugged Military Video Encoder H.265 / H.26
The Tiger Family by GS-Tech is H.265 (HEVC) / H.264 3G SDI/ Composite Video Encoder / Decoder.
Fully rugged enclosure with MIL-Spec certificates.
Tiger is a powerful H.265 (HEVC) / H.264 (AVC) fully ruggedized video encoder and streaming platform that is designed to support video transmission needs in harsh field environments.
With bypass video outputs, low latency encoding, and low power consumption, Tiger is non-intrusive and yet feature-rich.
Tiger is capable of capturing single 3G-SDI or HD-SDI or Composite video input simultaneously and encoding using video encoding standards) H.265 (HEVC) or H.264 (MPEG-4 AVC standard.
It can create up to 3 encoded video streams per input.
The encoding parameters are highly configurable with support for main (H.265/H.264), baseline & high profiles (H.264) with many bitrate configurations (54 Kbps to 20 Mbps; Constant & Variable rate control).
All streams are then sent out from the 1Gbps Ethernet output.
The Tiger design is easily customizable for different types of video input formats such as DVI and HDMI.
KLV (Key-Length-Value) metadata insertion is supported via RS-232 or Ethernet. KLV is “muxed” into the MPEG-2 TS container. The resulting MPEG-2 TS video is then streamed out over UDP with optional RTP support headers. This standardization ensures interoperability with the decoders and displays retrieving the encoded stream.
Easy field integration was an essential requirement when developing the Tiger. The product was designed with significant customer involvement and feedback and should fit into several environments where versatile video streaming is required.

Tiger is ruggedized to survive harsh environments (shock, vibration, humidity, dust, sand) and temperatures from -20°C to 70°C (MIL-STD-810G & IP67) as well as fully tested with 461 specifications in an international certified lab.
It comes with dedicated mounting holes for mounting on to racks.
Its rugged small form factor design makes it easy to use and integrate into any system design and meets the SWaP (size, weight & power) requirements for all of the vertical markets.
In the default configuration, the product accepts single high definition video inputs in 3G-SDI, HD-SDI or Composite format through BNC connectors. Audio, 1Gbps Ethernet & RS-232 are routed over a 14-pin rugged circular MIL spec connector.
Other video input formats and connector types are possible with small modifications to the design even for low volume opportunities.
Control of encoding settings and retrieval of the Tiger health information are all performed using web GUI(i.E, Chrome and others) and API built around SNMPv2 for simple and secure communication.
This API is built for easy integration into existing customer applications.
Several sample applications are provided to ensure prompt integration into a working system. Configuration can also be done using the built in web server GUI which is accessed from a browser on a networked device.
This GUI can be used to configure all encoding and network settings, update the device, save settings, and retrieve status information. Support for uploading of XML configuration files allow for quick and easy configuration of deployable units.
The product can be modified to meet your requirements such as different video input formats. Like all GS Tech Rugged Solutions products, this product has a long life cycle.
GS tech has a technical support team to offer assistance and resolve any technical challenges associated with the product.
